Cambodia Casinos

There is an interesting history to the Cambodia casinos that reside just over the dividing line from next door Thailand, in which casino betting is not permitted. Eight casinos are based in a relatively tiny location in the city of Poipet in Cambodia. This collection of Cambodia gambling halls is in an excellent area, a three to 4 hour trip from Bangkok and Macao, the two largest betting centers in Asia. Cambodia casinos do a huge business with Thai blue-collar workers and travelers from Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, and Singapore, with just a couple of Westerners. The phenomenal capital accrued from the casinos ranges from 7.5 million dollars to over 12.5 million, and there are a few controls constraints for casino ownership. Ownership is assumed to be mostly Thai; still, financial sources are vague. The borders are formally open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and even though visas are apparently necessary to pass, there are means around this, as is real of many borders.
The 1st Cambodia gambling dens opened in Phnom Penh in the mid nineties, but were required to close in the late nineties, leaving only one gambling hall in the capital, the Naga Resort. The Naga, a docked boat gambling den, highlights 150 slot machine games and 60 table games. The Naga casino is open all hours with forty two tables of mini-punto banco, four tables of twenty-one, 10 of roulette, two of Caribbean Stud Poker, and a single table each of Pai-Gow and Tai-Sai.
The 1st casino in Poipet, the Holiday Palace, premiered in the late nineties and the Golden Crown before long followed. A total of one hundred and fifty slot machine games and five tables at the Golden Crown and 104 one armed bandits and sixty eight gaming tables at the Holiday Palace. The latest Holiday Palace Casino and Resort contains 300 slot machine games and 70 tables and the Princess Hotel and Casino, also in Poipet, has one hundred and sixty six slot machines and 96 table games, including 87 punto banco (the most beloved game), Fan Tan, and Pai Gow. In addition, there is the Casino Tropicana, with 135 slot machines and sixty six of the familiar tables, as well as 1 table of Casino Stud Poker. One more of the eight casinos in Poipet, also a part of a motel, is the Princess Casino with one hundred and sixty six one armed bandits and ninety seven table games. The Star Vegas Casino is is located in an all-around resort and hotel complex that highlights many comforts on top of the gambling hall, which contains ten thousand sq.ft. of one hundred and thirty slot machine games and eighty eight table games.
